NotesGood gags abound, as they would in Jay Ward's later series "Rocky and His Friends" and "The Bullwinkle Show". Some examples: The Blaggard Brothers lay siege to the freezing castle of Chattering Heights: BIGOT BLAGGARD: "I, Bigot Blaggard, have come to claim your daughter's hand!" MARY ANNE: "I wish (Chatter! Chatter!) SOMEONE would hold my hand... and WARM IT" Per medieval movie tradition, Mary Anne gives her scarf to Crusader for luck as he and Rags prepare to joust with the Blaggard Brothers: MARY ANNE: "Wear this! It will protect you for life, Sir Rabbit! CRUSADER: "What is it? An INSURANCE POLICY?" SUBTLE POPEYE REFERENCE: The Blaggard Brothers stuff Mary Anne in a potato sack and make off with her. The sack is labeled "Sweet Potato [with the word "Potato" crossed-out and replaced with] Patotie". "Sweet Patootie" (with TWO "O"s) is what Popeye would call his sweetheart Olive Oil.
