This is the final issue of Captain Science but never fear, the numbering continues as Fantastic #8 which contains the next, and final, Captain Science story. Fantastic lasted two issues, but with #10 the title changed to Beware, and became a horror/suspense comic book.

Your sci-fi series may be out of ideas if you're swiping the ending from War of the Worlds.

As far as borrowing the ending from "War of the Worlds", Wells himself did that for "First Men in the Moon".
